Productive things to do in just 5 minutes

Get out of bed. Get a shower. Dress. Write articles. Read. Do the washing up. Clean the house. When we think of being productive we think we need long periods of time but in reality we can do many in just five minutes.

When we think of productivity  we should not think of efficiency, rather we should think of things that are worthwhile, in meaningful activities and in the satisfaction of our needs.

We are going to show you a list of productive things to do when you only have 5 minutes, that is, quick activities that we can carry out. Because sometimes when we are overwhelmed, we forget that there are tasks that do not take a lot of time. And yet they can be very helpful in maintaining our  emotional balance.

Productive activities you can do in 5 minutes

-Practice meditation for 5 minutes. Meditation helps us relax and reboots our brain. This is especially helpful when our thoughts are racing or our anxiety is high. Today there are a lot of online meditation resources, try this mindfulness with a guided meditation video.

-Savor a cup of tea or coffee.  Setting aside time for ourselves is absolutely productive.

-Buy a book. Give yourself moments and share them.

-Reflect on how you feel on this day so far. Write it down if you want and think about your intentions for the rest of the day.

-Make plans with your partner or a loved one to do something fun tonight, tomorrow or the following week.

-Make a list of five things you are grateful for. They can be from life, from others or from yourself.

-Take a ride. If you are at home, go to your mailbox, or walk around the block. If you are at work, walk around your office. Go for a walk and look at the sky.

-Describe the steps for a task that you have been avoiding. Every little step can finally be doable.

-Massage your hands.

Write down 10 things to see, smell, hear, touch, and maybe even try to reconnect with your world.

-Adventure outside and create the same list for your natural environment.

-Read a few lines or any text that calms you down and reminds you of what is really important.

More productive activities in 5 minutes …

-Close your eyes and listen to the sounds of the ocean, nature, etc. There are endless options.

-Do something you have to do, but don’t want to (like paying the bills, calling the credit card company, making the bed, folding the clothes, cleaning your desk). Remind yourself that it is only five minutes.

-Read jokes or see some humor. The benefits of laughter are manifold.

-Take a piece of paper and scribble  whatever comes up: swirls, wavy lines, flowers … Let your mind flow and be amazed.

-Plan a delicious dinner for this week. You can also see a tutorial on how to make the dish that you have wanted to prepare for a long time.

-Learn about a historical event that occurred today. You can go to any website to the ephemeris section and discover an event that you can talk about with your acquaintances.

-Think about what you need physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually. Think about how you can meet each need this week. If you run out of time, you can spend five minutes on each type of need. These, of course, are not easy questions or answers.

-Stay quiet. There is so much wisdom that revolves around our minds and bodies… How many times do we stop? If you like it, consider the question “What do I already know?” And wait for the answer. Or just sit back with no expectations or prerequisites; So you don’t lose track of time, you can set the minutes with a timer.

What can be started or achieved in five minutes? Create your own list of ideas. Keep it somewhere handy with easy access and take them to practice on a daily basis, as a mandatory routine. Over time, you will reap many spiritual and emotional benefits that will make you feel much better little by little.
